I have to tell you on a scale of 1 to 10 this "preschool" barely rates a 2. What a nightmare my daughter's enrollment here was. First of all it was touted as a "preschool" but it is NOT. Do not be fooled. My 3 year old daughter was in the 3 year class room with kids much less mature then her and developmentally barely seemed 3. I wanted my daughter in a challenging and structured setting. Instead we got there in September and the director had been fired, she was placed a "class" with almost 20 kids most of whom were still in diapers and one who's parents were in denial of his developmental issue and was hitting the other kids. The upstairs stinks like pee. The "teachers" there are very sweet women, from what I saw they liked working with kids and 1 of them had her BA in early childhood development. She was my daughters favorite teacher and then the cooperation pulled her into management so she would not be working with the kids all day anymore. So I turned in our contract, I had had enough. The stand in director told me our refund check would be ready the last day of my daughters enrollment, lo and behold, that friday and came and NO check. They tried to tell me it was sent to the school in the mail the week prior, Lie #1. Then I raised a fuss I was told the check was returned when it was sent to MY address, Lie #2. Finally I told them I wanted my money, I would not leave the office without it, I did not trust them. So they gave me a visa prepaid card with our refund amount. HORRIBLE COOPERATE MANAGEMENT. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE!!! The place is an overpriced daycare NOT A PRESCHOOL. Not to mention the food is very carb heavy and they were not very open to alternative options from parents.
The Children's Workshop has been a great experience for me and my child. At our former daycare we had a very unpleasant experience, we were welcomed into The Children's workshop with open arms, they are now part of my childs extended family. The teachers have been so wonderful with supporting our family, they are all wonderful at what they do and really enjoy their jobs and teaching all the children in their care. The past year has been a wonderful learning experience for my child, he is always excited to go to school and comes home sharing what he has learned at school that day.
