We love Chapins. It is part of every trip to the Cape. Sitting out on the deck is the perfect way to start and end a trip to the Cape.
Great Guinness battered haddock . It's just slightly superior to the fish and chips made with Cod. Love this restaurant if you're with kids.
Amazed by how many good reviews and how many repeat customers this place gets. The servers and service were VERY GOOD, however, the prices and the food quality... lackluster at best. I got a $22 swordfish special and not only did it come out on a 'to go container's bottom part", but it was about 1/3" thick and half was white meat and the other half was very dark. I've paid less for much thicker and fresher pieces of fish on the north shore and the Ipswich/Essex/Newburyport area. My wife said the drinks were very good, but I suggest going somewhere else if you plan on eating.
Reasonably priced. They have some of the usual American fare and some of the usual Cape seafood fare. Something for everyone!
Just finished eating here, and although the food tasted good, it was horribly overpriced and came on paper plates. My spoon for my chowder was plastic. My beer in a plastic cup was $8. All the servers were sitting around at a table not doing anything. Atmosphere was good, but horribly overpriced.
Great food and drinks..comfortable for the whole family! Nice outdoor setting and service was very good.
